On the subject of rarities and twitching, here are a few from october,Red-flanked Blutail was at Bempton.........swelled by the ranks of Eastern Crowned dippers, havent seen such a big crowd at a Bluetail for years!!!! it showed terribly in the hedgerow on the approach road, not helped by birders standing right next to the hedge.........sorry to inform some people but birds dont fly in and feed round your feet!!!! As for the Eastern Crowned Warbler itself, great views on the friday morning but stupidly only took the 400mm lens,so tiny images..........as Lee Evans said,if anyone has any better ...please send them!! charming !!
